About
KPV is the three-amino-acid C-terminal fragment of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH), isolated because it retains α-MSH's anti-inflammatory signalling without the pigmentation-driving activity of the full hormone. Research interest centres on its proposed action on NF-κB, a transcription factor central to inflammatory signalling, which is why it's most often studied in gut-inflammation and skin-condition models — and why it's frequently paired with BPC-157 and TB-500 in combined recovery-research stacks.
