Retatrutide is supplied as a lyophilised (freeze-dried) powder in two vial sizes — 10mg and 20mg — plus a discounted 10-vial pack of the 10mg size. This guide covers how reconstitution works, how to calculate concentration, and how to choose a vial size for a research protocol.
Reconstitution basics
Retatrutide ships as powder, not liquid. Before it can be used in solution it has to be reconstituted with bacteriostatic water — never plain water, saline substituted at home, or any diluent not specifically intended for peptide reconstitution. Add the diluent slowly down the inside wall of the vial rather than directly onto the powder, and swirl gently rather than shaking; Retatrutide, like most peptides, can denature under vigorous agitation.
Working out concentration
Concentration is milligrams of peptide divided by millilitres of diluent added — vial size on its own doesn't set the concentration, the ratio does. A 10mg vial reconstituted with 2mL of bacteriostatic water gives 5mg/mL; the same 10mg reconstituted with 1mL instead gives 10mg/mL. A 20mg vial follows the same arithmetic, just with double the peptide to start. Our peptide reconstitution calculator works out the exact concentration and draw volume for any combination you're planning, including for the 20mg vial.
Choosing between the 10mg and 20mg vial
- 10MG — the standard entry size, and the vial used in the Fat Burn Stack (paired with MOTS-c). Suited to shorter research protocols or where a lower total quantity is needed per vial.
- 20MG — double the peptide per vial for longer protocols or higher cumulative quantities without reconstituting as often, and the vial used in the Fat Burn Stack XL.
- 10-pack (10MG × 10) — for labs and researchers working through larger volumes, bulk pricing applies automatically at checkout and stacks with WELCOME20 on top.
Cost per milligram improves with both vial size and quantity ordered — the 20mg vial and the 10-pack both spread fixed manufacturing and testing costs over more peptide, the same principle behind bulk pricing across the whole range.
Storage and handling
Store the lyophilised powder at −20°C before reconstitution, away from light. Once reconstituted, refrigerate at 2–8°C and use within about four weeks — reconstituted peptide solution doesn't hold indefinitely, even refrigerated. This is identical for the 10mg and 20mg vials; vial size has no bearing on stability. See the full guide to storing and reconstituting research peptides for handling between uses.
Stacking Retatrutide with MOTS-c
Retatrutide is commonly paired with MOTS-c in research protocols — the basis of our Fat Burn Stack and Fat Burn Stack XL. Each peptide in a stack is reconstituted and dosed separately; the stack discount applies to buying them together, not to combining them in the same vial.
Sourcing Retatrutide in Australia
All Retatrutide — 10mg, 20mg and the 10-pack — is held in Australian stock, independently tested for purity (RP-HPLC) and identity (LC-MS), with the Certificate of Analysis published before you order. Dispatched same or next business day from Melbourne. See the actual lab results in our CoA Library.
